ECHO OF DECO is the name given to an expanding collection of individually handmade fine studio ceramics, inspired by the exciting geometric Art Deco Designs of the 1920/30'S Jazz Age.

Appreciated for its outstanding artistic quality and exciting originality of design, ECHO OF DECO ceramics elegantly bring to life the vibrancy of original Art Deco design in a unique and inimitable way.

ECHO OF DECO is essentially a specialist high-end Contemporary Design Studio creating individual pieces of fine Ceramic Art, aimed primarily at the private collector and investor. All ceramics are exclusively made in England, by the designers, and only in very limited numbers.

Distinctive and instantly recognizable ECHO OF DECO ceramics show an intuitive appreciation for shape and form, complimented by a creative

and bold confidence in design. Held in high esteem by collectors from around the world, ECHO OF DECO is now widely regarded as making some of the finest and most innovative handmade Art Deco ceramics currently available.

All work is made in studio from original designs and from ECHO OF

DECO'S own handmade master moulds. Glazes are hand blended and kiln fired to exact temperatures, creating exciting finishes redolent of the Art Deco period.

The ECHO OF DECO studio was founded by the father and son team, Malcolm and Russell Akerman. Malcolm's keen interest and wide knowledge of the Art Deco style, combined with Russell's vast experience in ceramic arts and design, led to the creation of a collection of ceramics that are, today, respected and collected throughout the world.

The day-to-day running of the studio is currently undertaken by Russell Akerman. In addition to his own exciting Art Deco designs, Russell is an acclaimed Studio Potter and Ceramic Artist with works in many Galleries and private collections worldwide. For authenticity all ECHO OF DECO work bears the studio's distinctive

maker's mark and is at present hand signed with the well known monographs of Russell or Malcolm Akerman

As a guide, work starts at £25 for a small ornament, £55-£65 for the clocks, up to around £95 + for a hand thrown vase. Echo Of Deco also welcomes commissions from Clubs, Historical Societies and Stage & Screen, offering services such as recreating a unique logo or special Art Deco piece.
