Denby “Encore” Teapot

The Denby “Encore” pattern was introduced in 1984 and discontinued in 1998. This teapot is in very good condition, with no chips, cracks or crazing; it is 18 cm high, with 950 mil capacity.

Royal Grafton Milk Jug & Sugar Bowl: 2138

I have not been able to trace a name for Royal Grafton’s pattern no. 2138, but the flower featured appears to be a lotus and the design does look quite Japanese. The backstamp reads: ‘Royal Grafton Fine Bone China; Made in England’ with the pattern number hand-applied in gold nearby. The condition is very good, with no chips, cracks or crazing

Royal Grafton Tea Cup & Saucer: no. 2138

I have not been able to trace a name for Royal Grafton’s pattern no. 2138, but the flower featured appears to be a lotus and the design does look quite Japanese. Sadler Fluted Sugar Bowl: Pink Roses

Sadler produced an enormous number of tea ware patterns, and I have been unable to identify the name or number or this particular one. This bowl is 7 cm high and 28 cm circumference at its widest point. The condition is very good, with no chips, cracks or crazing.

Sadler Fluted Teapot: Pink Roses with Gilding

Sadler produced an enormous number of teapot patterns, and I have been unable to identify the name or number or this particular one. It is 16 cm high (including lid) with a 6-cup capacity and is suitable for either loose leaf or teabags. The gilding on the lid’s finial is rubbed, but otherwise the pot is in very good clean condition, with no chips, cracks or crazing.

Jason Bone China Vintage Cup and Saucer: J733

Pale pink on the outside and white inside, with a carnations design and gilding. The cup is 7.5 cm high and the saucer is 14.5 cm diameter. The gilded backstamp shows a helmeted head in profile and reads: ‘Jason, Bone China; Made in England; J733’. The condition is very good, with no chips, cracks or crazing.

Dunoon Ceramics: pair of Kelim mugs by Samantha Redgrave

10.5 cm high, design in shades of soft blue-grey outlined in gilding on black glaze. The backstamp shows a motif from the design and reads: ‘Kelin, designed by Samantha Redgrave; White stoneware; Dunoon Ceramics; Made in Scotland’. The condition is very good, with no chips, cracks or crazing.

Ewenny Pottery (Wales) Handthrown Jug

In one of Ewenny’s most characteristic styles, with a dark brown glaze finished with a dripped slip decoration in light grey and brown shades. 16 cm high with Ewenny’s incised calligraphic backstamp ‘Ewenny Pottery’. The condition is very good, with no chips, cracks or crazing: the white spots in the photo are camera flash.

McCluskey Pottery (Ireland) Handthrown Jug: Whiskey Still Motif

From the McCluskey Pottery, Limavady; this jug is 8 cm high. The pale stone-coloured body has a self-coloured and a banded brown glaze. It is decorated with a poteen (whiskey) still motif. The McCluskey name is impressed on the edge of the base. The condition is very good, with no chips, cracks or crazing.
