Donegal Parian (Irish Parian / Donegal China) : 1504 Emerald Cache Pot – Pearl

11 cm high and 9.25 diameter across the top. The moulded decoration of wild roses and leaves has a pearlised finish. The original foil label is still there and reads: ‘Donegal Irish Parian China: Handcrafted in Ireland’ (Donegal Parian is now part of the Belleek Group)’. The backstamp reads: ‘Irish Parian : Donegal China’. With the original label which reads: ‘1504 Emerald Pot – Pearl’. The condition is extremely good, with no chips, cracks or crazing.

Mason’s Ironstone “Brown Velvet” Baluster Vase

9.5 cm high and in very good condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. Decorated in deep browns and reds with gilding. Backstamp reads: ‘Mason’s Patent Ironstone; Brown Velvet; Made in England’. The underside also carries the numbers 77 and 107, an impressed letter K and two symbols which may refer to the decorators.

West German Baluster Vase : 450-3

13 cm high; mulberry glaze with a cream slip decoration with gilding. The backstamp reads 'West Germany' with the number 450-3. There is a ½ cm surface scratch on the slip decoration which is too light to show up in the photograph. Otherwise the condition is very good, with no chips, cracks or crazing.

Royal Doulton "Carnations" Vase

The “Carnations” range was designed for Royal Doulton by New Yorker Gerald Gulotta. This vase is 20.5 cm high and 23.5 circumference at the bottom. The backstamp reads: Royal Doulton; Impressions, by Gerald Gulotta; Lotus Vase; “Carnations”; © Royal Doulton Tableware Ltd. The condition is excellent, with no chips, cracks or crazing.

Vintage Wedgwood White on Blue Jasperware Jug, d. 1951

11 cm high; decorated with a classical tableau, The interior is glazed. Incised mark: Wedgwood; 1951; Made in England; 36; T and another indistinct mark. Also on the underside is a black stamped 2, which may denote second quality, although I cannot see any flaw in this item. The condition is very good, with no chips, cracks or crazing.

Dee-Cee (Dragon Pottery, Rhayader) Baluster Posy Vase

8.75 cm high typical of Dragon Pottery’s decorative style - hand-painted dark brown and green banding and a brown leaf motif with scraffiti. Backstamp reads: Dee-Cee, Made in Wales. Dee-Cee probably stands for Desmond Cooper, a Birmingham wholesaler who distributed stoneware for a number of potteries. There is some light crazing, otherwise the good condition is good, with no chips, cracks or crazing (white 'blobs' on the photo are camera flash).

Denby Art Pottery : Stoneware Cylinder Vase - 1970's?

In extremely good condition, with no chips, cracks or crazing; may date from the 1970’s,. 15 cm high, glazed in olive green and off-white; with two unglazed bands, one decorated with beading. The inside is glazed in grey-white and the whole finished with brown speckling. The backstamp reads: ‘Denby, Made in England’ with the numbers 4 and 1 underneath it.

Carrig Ware (Carrigaline Pottery, Co. Cork, Ireland) Vintage Handthrown Baluster Vase

May date between 1930’s to 50’s. 16.5 cm high and 42 cm circ. at widest; cream glazed body is decorated with a green drip glaze. Underside is stamped ‘Made in Ireland’ and ‘Carrig Ware’, with impressed no. 87A. There are age-related flaws: some crazing on the inside and underside, a pinhead chip and small surface crack on the underside, but the overall condition is good.

Belleek Lotus Blossom Spill Vase

16 cm (6.25 ins) high. Very good condition, with no chips, cracks or crazing. It has the 8th Belleek mark (1st blue), dating it to some time between Jan. 1993 and Dec. 1996. The underside also has the gilder’s initial D and the original ‘Lotus Blossom Spill, 1230’ label.

Jagoes Mill Pottery, Cork, Ireland: Small Handthrown Vase

By Irene Gahan Ryle, this vase is 7.5 cm high. The impressed backstamp reads: Jagoes Mill and there is also a transparent label reading: Jagoes Mill Pottery, Kinsale, West Cork, Ireland. The condition is very good, with no chips, cracks or crazing.

Crathes Pottery, Grampian, Scotland: Speedwell Single Stem Baluster Vase

Handthrown stoneware, semi-matte off-white glaze; hand-painted with speedwell design. 11.5 cm high; neck opening 1.75 cm diam. Backstamp reads ‘Crathes Pottery’ enclosed in a circle. The condition is excellent, with no chips, cracks or crazing.
