Lacquered rattan betel box

Ratten two-tiered covered lacquer box, decorated with figures on a red and black ground. Made in the late 19th.Century. (The box opens to reveal two inner trays of differing height.)This type of box was used to contain a supply of betel leaves for chewing. This box is in good condition and with no damage. 19cm (7.5in) high.

Chinese polychrome porcelain dish, made Kangxi period. Decorated in Famille-verte enamels. Mark in underglaze blue within a double circle to base, with flower sprays and flower heads to the reverse. This dish is cracked. 22cm (8.7in) wide.

The vase is 42.5cm (16.75in)high.
