CHAPELLE DES POTS, France: bud vase in Coq designFaiencerie Jean Alexiu was founded in the late 1950’s in the small village of Chapelle des Pots in France. This miniature narrow-necked vase, 10.75 cm high with a globular body is decorated in the Coq pattern. Celtic Irish Fine Earthenware VaseCeltic Irish Fine Earthenware (latterly Celtic Ceramics) ceased operations I think some time in the 1980’s and their products have become very collectable. It is 14.5 cm high and is backstamped with ‘Irish Fine Earthenware : Celtic : Made in the Republic of Ireland’ and a shamrock motif. There is also a pattern number which looks like ‘113/13R’.
